Dr. Vasilis Kiosses is a psychologist, psychotherapist, and medical educator. As part of his doctoral studies at the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, he created “Come to My Place, Doctor”, a pioneering experiential training programme for doctors in empathy, which has received the Global Innovation Award in Person-Centred Medicine. He teaches the course “Empathy in the Doctor-Patient Relationship” at the University of Ioannina and in various postgraduate programmes. He has worked in support structures for women victims of violence and currently works privately as a psychologist and medical educator. He has also trained in LGBTQI+ counselling, grief counselling, and focusing.
