Parvy Palmou B.A., M.A., Ph.D. holds a PhD from the University of Bolton, UK. As a Gestalt psychotherapist, she presents workshops and guides educational groups across Greece, Europe,the United States and Mexico. Works with various populations, organisations, and companies. She writes articles for newspapers, magazines, and websites, with several publications. She has presented workshops on LGBTQI+ issues at Panteion University and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a speaker at the Transgender Remembrance Day. She has also been a trainer in psychiatric wards at the Air Force Hospital and Dafni Psychiatric Hospital. Parvy is a member of the Transgender Support Association (GTSA) and Head of the Department of Health for Trans and Intersex Families. She has served as a member of two interdisciplinary advisory committees of the Ministry of Health regarding access to healthcare for transgender and gender-diverse individuals and the legal recognition of gender identity. She is a member of the International Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (IAAGT) and a Continuing Education Coordinator on the Board of Directors. Together with Anna Apérgi, the Former Director of GTSA, she created the training programme on LGBTQI+ Affirmative Gestalt Therapy for the University of the Aegean and the Greek Focusing Centre.
