Rafael Bilidas has spent most of his adult life advocating for equal access to healthcare services and promoting human rights. As a young adult, he served on the board of Tandem NGO, which works on deinstitutionalisation and disability in Greece, while simultaneously working in the field of human rights education. His involvement with the European AIDS Treatment Group and the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer & Intersex Youth and Student Organisation (IGLYO) allowed him to help raise the voices of young people living with HIV in Greece on an international level, participating in conferences, campaigning for LGBTQI+ rights, and raising awareness about the stigma surrounding HIV. He has served as Communications and Public Relations Manager for the Organising Committee of Athens Pride and as Resource Development Manager for the HIV-positive People’s Association of Greece – Positive Voice. He studied at the University of Hertfordshire and Panteion University in Athens. He currently works as a DEI consultant and is training in Gestalt psychotherapy.
